Judit Kollo is an artist-designer who creates pieces at the intersection of design and fine art. Her works are both functional and conceptually profound, allowing people to interact with each piece on multiple levels.

Her practice explores the shifting relationship between humans and nature in the digital age. With Judit’s words: “In a faceless and monotonous age defined by mass-produced uniformity, I seek to cultivate moments of beauty and wonder. My aim is to reforge our severed connection with the natural world, allowing us to redefine ourselves in its embrace.”

Originally from Hungary, Judit’s journey into ceramics began at a young age, shaped by early success of being finalist at an international art competition at age 11. She then attended Budapest’s prestigious School of Fine and Applied Arts, and by 18 had already won a major international competition that led her to study at Central Saint Martins in London. From there, her practice expanded through an MFA at the Rhode Island School of Design in the U.S., where she began exploring cross-disciplinary approaches; integrating ceramics with digital media, lighting , and architecture.

Judit has been exhibiting internationally in the UK, USA, Japan, Korea and many more and been commissioned by private collectors to create bespoke installations for their spaces. Judit's most recent collections; the “nightscapes” series, applies intricate porcelain lights into the landscape; creating an immersive, otherworldly experience as the night falls.

Judit enjoys pushing the boundaries on what ceramics as a material can achieve; evident in her new Luminography series where she explores a cross-disciplinary fusion between porcelain, illustration, kinetic technology and light.

Judit also enjoys collaborating with other professionals on finding new ways on how ceramics can be integrated into landscapes to create new opportunities for architecture and garden design.

Now based in the UK, Judit has established her studio and practice in London. A recent award from the LIT Design Awards in architectural lighting marks an exciting chapter in her journey, as her next steps lead toward larger projects through upcoming collaborations and architectural installations and showcases.

If her work could speak, Judit imagines it would say:
“Come see me.”
And once you do, it quietly asks you to stay.
